Overview

We approached LOAF, a local bakery in downtown Pembroke, with an idea to add fun and whimsy to their space by painting their windows. This self-initiated project brought playful characters to life and served as both a promotional piece for our art and a cheerful addition to the downtown area.

Design Inspiration

The artwork features fun characters as if seen "from the window," shown from the torso up, sitting and enjoying treats at the bakery. We used a simplistic and light-hearted illustration style, limiting the palette to our signature red and pink to keep the design cohesive and eye-catching.

Key Features

The illustrations were created using water-based acrylic paint, chosen for its temporary nature, ensuring it could be easily removed without leaving any marks. This allowed the bakery to enjoy the artwork while maintaining flexibility.

Our Role
We conceptualized and executed the entire project independently, creating the designs and carefully painting the windows with precision. The goal was to brighten the space for LOAF’s clients and passersby while showcasing the bakery’s support for local art.

Outcome

The painted windows added charm and personality to LOAF, sparking conversations among patrons and drawing attention to the bakery. The project succeeded in bringing vibrancy to the downtown area while celebrating the joy of art and community collaboration.
