The Pembroke Dreamscape art installation blends the iconic landmarks and historical charm of Pembroke with surreal, dreamlike imagery. At the heart of this project is a transformation: a static, simplistic vector illustration of Pembroke’s cityscape that comes to life through augmented reality (AR) when viewed on a device. This signature artwork has been featured on our tote bags and art prints, and it also takes centre stage as a public art piece in Pembroke’s Shamrock Park.

The Dreamscape is more than an installation; it’s an evolving digital experience. Viewers use their devices to unlock immersive animations that interact with the artwork. For example, during Remembrance Day, the animation transformed into a poignant scene: a little girl running through a field of poppies as the poem "Lest We Forget" played. This overlay brought a reflective and emotional depth to the static image, connecting viewers to the moment in a deeply personal way.

The versatility of this installation allows it to adapt to different seasons and occasions, creating unique experiences each time. Inspired by leading augmented reality artists, the Pembroke Dreamscape pushes the boundaries of what public art can achieve by blending traditional illustration with interactive technology.
